Responsibilities

We are looking for an enthusiastic VIE to join our team in Distributed Listed Products: ETF Market Making as an assistant Delta One Trader beginning in January 2025 for 12 months.

As a team member of one of the most prominent ETF Market Making desks by volume in Europe, you will have the opportunity to participate on many challenging projects. Your work area will be primarily to develop automated solutions for trading, hedging, risk management processes as well as to participate on various data analysis and mathematical modelling projects.

During your VIE mission you will have the following responsibilities:
• Assist traders and sales traders in the daily processes
• Automate trading processes with application of Python, C# and SQL
• Create scripts to generate reports and perform checks
• Perform ad-hoc analyses given developing market situations
• Perform data analysis on real-time market data
• Perform various data analysis projects
• Take care of organizational tasks

Due to the VIE eligibility criteria, a questionnaire will be provided. Please make sure to answer all the questions for an efficient analysis of your application.

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:

  • Graduate with a Master's degree from an Engineering School or University with a specialization in Applied Mathematics, Physics, Economics or IT

Language skills:
  • Fluent English (spoken and written)

Technical, operational & soft skills:
  • Basic knowledge in Finance, specifically in financial and derivative products
  • Good knowledge in coding language in Python, VBA is desirable
  • Excellent command of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Tenacity and results orientation
  • Being reliable and quality-oriented
  • Ability to plan and schedule
  • Being pro-active


The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Frankfurt is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12months.

In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
