Swan, a leading technology company, is seeking a highly skilled VP Product to join our team. In this role, you will lead a major part of our Product team and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products.

Swan’s Product department consists of 13 people organized into two units with two VP Product, and several experienced Product Managers and Product Designers.

Reporting to the CPO, you will collaborate closely with several departments, including the rest of the product team, which is overseen by another VP Product. You’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth communication, alignment, and coordination throughout the product development process.

✨ Our product organization:

The product team consists of two main branches:

  1. Payment: The payment features are what customers come to buy from Swan. These features include cards, transfers, direct debits, etc.

  2. Partner Experience: These are the features that enable us to offer the best partner experience. This is why customers choose Swan over competitors. These features include the best strong authentication system, the best dashboard, the best end-customer onboarding management, etc.

You will be in charge of the second branch to provide the best partner experience.

Your mission:

Product Strategy & Roadmaps

  • As VP Product of your tribe, you will participate in defining the Product Vision & Strategy.

  • Participate in defining your team’s product roadmap

  • New product developments: We are scaling our business with very strong ambitions, and we are developing new exciting product

  • Assessing and enhancing product performance to align it with partner expectations and the company’s strategy

Build a world-class Product organization / Leadership

  • Manage and lead your Product team, providing guidance, mentorship, and coaching to team members.

  • Build and manage a strong Product team to achieve growth objectives. We’re looking to double the team size within the next 2 years.

  • Drive people management initiatives, including hiring, performance review, ladder improvement, and employee retention.

  • Develop and implement product strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.

Scale & Optimize

  • Tackle big challenges: scale and optimize current processes, workflows, and tools, in cooperation with the Engineering team.

  • Ensure the implementation and improvement of new processes. Be a source of energy and create momentum with different stakeholders to ensure consistent operations.

Track our path to excellence

  • Ensure that the latest Product practices are being utilized.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and delivery.

  • Ensure the Product team meets project timelines and delivers high-quality products by managing team organization, methodology, and quality.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the Product team.

  • Staying on top of market and industry trends to keep the company on the cutting edge of innovation.

Your Team:

As a VP Product, you will manage your tribe, which consists of a Lead Product, three Product Managers, a Lead Product Design, and a Product Designer. We’re looking to double the team size within the next 2 years.

The Product team works closely with the Engineering department, which is consists of about 55 people, including a CTO, a VP Engineering, two Heads of Engineering, in addition to several Engineering Managers, Software Engineers, and DevOps specialists. In this role, you will closely collaborate with over half of the Engineering team.

Profil recherché

You’re a great match if:

  • Proven experience as a CPO / VP / Head of Product or similar leadership role in a technology company (start-up, scale-up, or another fast-paced work environment). Significant experience in a Fintech or payment would be a plus.

  • Proven success in building and executing Product vision and strategies

  • Significant professional experience leading and managing high-performing Product teams.

  • Strong leadership & team management skills

  • You are both a strategic thinker and a ‘do-er’ and are not afraid to become very hands-on if required.

  • Strong interest in the Developer Experience

  • Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts and translate them into industry- or business-relevant terms

  • Analytical mind, ability to step back, and great understanding of the market to define ambitious product strategies

  • Ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams. Ability to communicate with clarity, humility, and precision.
