Ok, sounds promising. What will I be doing?

We're looking for an Engineering Manager with a strong technical background and a hands-on approach to lead one of our engineering teams. You will be responsible for collaborating with Product, Design, and Carbon/ESG Experts to help build our SaaS tool that allows companies to measure and track their Carbon and ESG data, set reduction goals and report on progress towards a cleaner future.

To be more specific, this includes:

• Be responsible for roadmap execution and delivery of projects with high quality
• Grow, coach, and develop a team of software engineers
• Recruit high-quality engineering talent for the team
• Help define the engineering culture and uphold the processes that will shape the future of the team
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership to build a cutting-edge ESG data management platform.

Good you asked. Some more details on who we’re looking for:

• You have 5+ years of experience in management of software engineers
• You have 5+ years of technical industry experience
• You have software engineering experience with React/Typescript and Ruby on Rails (or similar frameworks)

• Customer-focused and experience working on a product team, shipping products to end-users
• Significant experience building and operating critical high-scale systems
• Phenomenal management and team development skills: ability to set roadmap and goals for a team and every one of its members, delegate intelligently, mentor engineers, deliver frequent and transparent feedback, help team members grow in their careers, and deliver results
• Good software engineering methodology: meaningful and deeply-rooted opinions about testing and code quality, ability to make sound quality/speed trade-offs
• Outstanding technical skills in engineering: Managers can lead from the front when the situation calls for it
