Job Description

As an Associate Director within the Legal department, you will be in charge of one of the two Legal Operations teams dedicated in particular to the treatment of Authorities request (including FINMA requests) and all the tasks arising therefrom. You will also be supporting the Bank in the management of contracts and claims databases and other operational tasks related to the Legal Department. Reporting directly to one of the Deputy Head Legal - Vice-Director, you will be in charge of the supervision of your team and the people management in accordance with your senior management.

Key responsibilities

Team Management:

  • Leading and supporting:
    • Fostering a positive work atmosphere where employees feel motivated, valued, and connected to the team and the organization.
    • Promoting collaboration, trust, and cohesion among team members, values that are the DNA of the current team
    •  Supporting employee growth through training, mentorship, coaching, and advancement opportunities.
  • Hiring:
    • Leading the recruitment process with your Talent Acquisition Partner
    • Ensuring new hires are properly introduced to the team, the organization, its culture, policies, and their specific roles.
  • Performance Management: Setting performance expectations, providing feedback, conducting performance reviews, and addressing any performance issues.
  • Conducting underperformance process with the help of your Senior Management and HR Partner.

Operations management:

  • Organizing and monitoring the team's operations and capacity allocation
  • Reviewing and supervision of complex cases
  • Reporting: implementing and producing periodic statistics and reports
  • Documentation and Procedures: properly documenting main procedures
  • Collaborating:
    • Internal : coordination with the other Legal Operations Manager, improving the workflows with other teams within the department as well as in other departments
    • External : being the contact point of Authorities as well as external service providers linked to legal operations

Profil recherché

  • Very good knowledge and previous experience (minimum 3 years) in the treatment of Authorities and FINMA requests or experience in a Compliance role
  • Previous experience in a leadership role is a strong advantage
  • Proficiency with French and English, good command of German
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, results-oriented, team player
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast growing and evolving environment.
  • Proficiency with Excel/VBA.
