As a Senior Embedded Software Developer at TAG Heuer Connected, your mission will be :

·        RTOS & Linux Development: Design and implement features on Real-Time Operating Systems as well as customize Linux/AOSP environments tailored for smartwatch specifications.

·        Algorithm Porting: Adapt and optimize advanced signal processing algorithms for resource-constrained embedded systems while ensuring real-time performance and conformity to reference algorithms.

·        System Architecture: Collaborate with system architects to contribute to the overall design of next-generation smartwatches, focusing on modularity, scalability, and integration of new features.

·        Performance Tuning: Profile system performance on various levels to identify bottlenecks; fine-tune both hardware access layers and high-level application code.

·        Cross-functional Teamwork: Guide technical discussions with hardware teams about board bring-up activities; align software development efforts with UI/UX design principles for seamless user interaction.

·        Quality Assurance & Testing: Implement comprehensive testing strategies encompassing unit tests, integration tests, and automated system tests to ensure reliability across all software components.

·        Technical Documentation: Create detailed documentation including design specs, API descriptions, algorithm explanations which can be used by other developers and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills

·        Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.

·        5+ years of experience in embedded software development, preferably in the field of wearables.

·        Deep understanding of RTOS fundamentals; hands-on experience customizing Linux kernels and working within AOSP environments is essential.

·        Demonstrated experience porting signal processing algorithms onto embedded platforms with constraints on memory footprint and computational power.

·        Expertise in programming languages appropriate for low-level system programming such as C/C++ as well as higher-level languages like Rust

·        Familiarity with power management strategies critical for wearables is expected
