We are currently seeking a Merger and Acquisition Analyst, to join our Corporate Strategy and M&A team based in Nanterre/Paris.

In the unique context of our company business transformation, you will play a crucial role in supporting our strategic growth objectives. You will be part of the corporate team that identifies, evaluates, and executes mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic investment opportunities, including activities related to integration. Your work will directly impact on the company's ability to deploy its inorganic strategy.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Support the development of the M&A pipeline by assisting on opportunities’ assessment, interacting with Operations, advisors and other stakeholders and screening the competitive landscape. In direct collaboration with the Strategy team.
  • Conduct case by case detailed opportunities analysis and valuation of potential targets.
  • Assist in the preparation of investment assessment presentations for Executive Management and  the Board of Directors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business, operations, finance, legal, to ensure seamless and diligent execution of the transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of the pre/post transaction integration activities to ensure tracking and successful alignment with corporate and business objectives.

 

About you:

To be successful in this mission you should consider the following requirements:

  • Master’s degree from top-tier business school, engineering school or other university (Dauphine, SciencesPo). The combination of an engineering degree with finance/business specialization is a plus.
  • 1-2 years’ experience or more in M&A, investment banking, corporate finance, strategy, or a related field.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools (including S&P Capital IQ, Merger Market) and ability to build a model from scratch.
  • Strong knowledge of valuation techniques (DCF, Multiples) and deal process management is expected. Knowledge of legal structuration is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work setting.
  • Knowledge of the energy sector, in particular energy transition topics and challenges. Experience with energy-related transactions is a plus.
  • Languages: Professional ability in English and French
