Job Purpose: 

Manage interest rate risk, Foreign Exchange risk and cash investments. Execute financial markets derivatives for all centralized entities of the group, including Technip Eurocash (acting as Group “internal bank”). Advise on Foreign Exchange risk from bid stage to award for proposals and projects. Manage and execute short-term deposits for TEN entities including joint ventures. Issuance of new commercial papers for Technip Eurocash. Analyze, consolidate and produce long-term cash flow forecasts/reports addressed to Group Treasurer, CFO and audit committee.

  • Externally: Banks, Brokers, Dealers

Main Accountabilities:

  • Execute at best prices Foreign Exchange derivatives (Spot, Forward, Swap, Non-Deliverables Forward) on behalf of the internal bank of the Group or for JVs, by voice or with trading platform (FX All),
  • Execute short-term deposits on behalf of the internal bank of the Group or for Joint Ventures,
  • Ensure Group liquidity with issuance of Commercial Papers: daily follow-up of the Interest rates markets, put into competition brokers and banks to get the best yield for TEN,
  • Assessment of Foreign Exchange risk at bid stage: discussion with Estimation team, review of the contract qualifications (contractual terms) on Foreign Exchange exposure, studies and bank meetings to collect information for countries where there are Foreign Exchange regulations and trapped cash. Calculation of Foreign Exchange provisions to be integrated in the final price to the client, according to an internal model (Value at Risk),
  • Foreign Exchange pricing using Financial Markets tools (Reuters, Bloomberg) for regional treasurer teams requirements regarding their Foreign Exchange operations (pricing for new forward, rollover/rollback/liquidity swaps),
  • Foreign Exchange internal Training: Estimation team, Commercial team, regional treasury team, Financial Controller team,
  • Strategic hedge advisory (Foreign Exchange Options) addressed to Director Treasury & Financing and VP Treasury & Financing,
  • Advising on all Foreign Exchange subjects and spreading Foreign Exchange good practices for regional treasurers and Financial Controllers,
  • Interaction with Middle Office/Back Office/Corporate Cash Management and Shared Treasury Centers relative to Foreign Exchange operations control/confirmation/settlements,
  • Regular contacts with banks for all subjects relative to Financial Risks and market opportunities: Foreign Exchange, Interest rates, Deposits and Short-term Financing. Contributing to maintain and consolidate global banking relationships,
  • Training of newcomers in regional treasury teams for systems/ tools used in Treasury management: Hyperion Oracle, Smartview, TMS Diapason,
  • Determination of the Standard Interest rates at beginning of each year (used by Financial Risks & Financing Solutions teams),
  • Writing/updating Group policy regarding Foreign Exchange, Cash Investment and Standard Interest Rates,
  • Drafting memo/guidelines relative to the Ibor reform: discussions with several banks and market data advisors, set up of the new rates in the system (TMS Diapason) following the end of the publication of Ibor rates, for the calculation of the Mark-to-Market for Foreign Exchange derivatives of TEN,
  • Training of new apprentices each year,
  • Drafting of monthly market update sent to Group CFO and Finance team,
  • Short-term forecast done on a weekly basis with update of Liquidity file sent to the Director Treasury & Financing,
  • Consolidation of long-term forecast at each quarter: assistance to the users during the period of data input, analysis of the forecast and explanation of variances, production of a reporting addressed to Director Treasury & Financing, VP Treasury & Financing and Group CFO,
  • Collaboration with Middle Office for the remuneration conditions for intercompany loans,
  • Usage of Financial markets tools: Reuters, Bloomberg and Datascope. Recovering information/data from Bloomberg as per requirements of other TEN departments, update and set-up of the interest rates/Foreign Exchange rates from Datascope to TMS Diapason,
  • Discounting rates calculation for Consolidation team regarding IFRS16,
  • Active participation in specific projects such as LATA (implementation of Diapason TMS in India) for Foreign Exchange subjects

Job Scope:

Manage different financial market risks and execute various derivatives to manage/hedge these risks: Foreign Exchange from bid stage to award, interest rates risk management of both short-term liabilities and assets. Manage and execute short-term deposits and Commercial Paper for TEN. Analyze and consolidate long-term cash flow forecast for TEN.

Typical Profile / Must Have:  

Master’s degree in finance/financial Markets/Treasury   

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a large Corporate dealing room environment  

  • In-depth knowledge of Foreign Exchange risk and Foreign Exchange risk valuation (Mark to Market),
  • Good knowledge of Interest Rates risk,
  • Good knowledge of Money Market investments and short-term debt instruments (including “dépôts à terme”, “compte à termes”, commercial papers…),
  • Good knowledge of financial market derivatives (Foreign Exchange spot, Foreign Exchange forward, Foreign Exchange swap, Foreign Exchange Options, Interest Rates swaps,
  • Autonomy, high degree of self-organization,
  • Negotiation and anticipation skills,
  • Analytical and summary skills,
  • Good abilities with multiple and complex treasury tools/systems and IT (Excel, Diapason treasury management system, Oracle Hyperion),
  • Very proficient with Financial Markets tools (Reuters, Bloomberg, Datascope, FX All),
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and interact within the Group as well as outside,
  • Accountable, result oriented, cooperative and team focus.
