Within Technip Energies universe, the Operating Center of Paris is referenced as the group's center of excellence and expertise. The Process and Technologies Division is involved in many areas, such as low-carbon energy production technologies (including Liquefied Natural Gas), biofuels and synthetic fuels, ethylene and polyolefins, plastics recycling, carbon dioxide capture and sequestration, green hydrogen, blue and green ammonia and other low-carbon or carbon-free energy carriers.

Job Purpose :

The Study Manager is responsible for:

  • Project management of projects at feasibility stages with involvement of a limited number of engineering disciplines.

Take full accountability to deliver the project including clear development of conceptual designs, feasibility studies, and preliminary cost estimates within budget & schedule.

 

Job Accountabilities :

  • Directly manages several feasibility stages in the field of the CO2 capture, Green Hydrogen or Ammonia production (blue or green). 
  • The study manager is generally mobilized half time on the project management of feasibility studies and therefore leads two studies in parallel.
  • In charge of the relations with the client with the support of the execution team
  • Directly accountable for the project finances. Follow up of manhours for all disciplines, billing to client, preparation of Variation Order, ICPO when relevant.
  • In charge of study schedule, discipline mobilization and coordination, deliverables register
  • Ensure the technical consistencies between the disciplines (generally process lead, cost estimation lead, layout specialist) and approve the reports and deliverables
  • Organize internal stakeholder reviews and workshop/reviews with the Client (including weekly meetings)
  • Sometimes supports proposal preparation or support process activities on projects in function with his workload on study management
  • Reports regularly on progress, status and issues to the head of department 

 

Profile:

At least 15 years of experience, with

  • Technical background in process engineering at senior/lead level and ideally related to Carbon Capture, Hydrogen or Ammonia technologies.
  • Experience with Client interfaces 
  • Proactive, self-starter motivated towards achieving pre-agreed targets and objectives;
  • Results driven: accountable, determined to outperform, leads change, customer focused, active listening;
  • People: leads with courage, respects and empowers, mentors and develops the team;
  • Drive Lean, Fit for Purpose mindset.
  • Act as the primary technical interface for project studies related queries in this client facing role.
