About the Team
By joining the Materials and Technologies Department, you join a multi-faceted and multi-skilled team. Thanks to your technical knowledge, you will add a stone to the building to build the units of tomorrow, while being supported by a caring and close-knit team. The professions specific to the "Piping equipment", "Materials" and "Welding" sections are very varied, but they all require interfacing with other disciplines (process, HSED, equipment, general installation, instrumentation, civil engineering, estimation, works contracts, construction) and to be involved with the project team (planning, cost control, doc control, project managers).
Within the department, you will also discuss with other Technip Energies centers, in particular the Indian centers, on challenging topics for the project.
About the position:
You will join the Construction department and report functionally to the Quality Control coordinator of the department.
On French and international projects of industrial installations in the fields of gas, hydrogen, petrochemicals, chemicals and industry, you will act as a referent on all activities related to welding and control non-destructive applied to onshore/offshore structures, electrical and process piping, pressure equipment, heat exchangers, storage tanks and other equipment/assemblies.
As a Welding Engineer, within the framework of the realization of the projects, you will have the following responsibilities:
• Analyze project specific requirements for welding and non-destructive testing (NDT) activities, interpreting regulatory and statutory requirements, codes and customer specifications regarding fabrication, welding and materials.
• Write the technical specifications of the project,
• Participate in technical meetings and supplier/manufacturer audits;
• Provide technical support to other engineering disciplines during their requisition activities as well as to construction teams, particularly in the resolution of non-conformities
• Review vendor documentation (procedures, welding manuals, etc.)
Regularly, you will have the opportunity to make business trips in France and abroad to attend technical meetings with Customers or Suppliers, visit Supplier workshops, travel to other Technip Energies Operational Centers ; specific issues may also require site visits during the construction phase.

About you :
You should contact us if your profile meets the following essential requirements:
A minimum of five (5) years of experience including shop/field practice as a welding engineer/supervisor in the petrochemical and/or oil and gas industries. Other relevant experience in other industrial sectors may be considered. You have a solid knowledge of engineering, manufacturing processes for all types of contracts and you are able to work in a team and coordinate.

In terms of developments, you may be called upon to continue the activities carried out in the study phase on site via on-site mobilizations or, if you have management aspirations, to take on the role of Coordinator of quality control activities (equipment and site) through which you will then be in charge of organizing the workload, providing the requested support to the proposal department and supervising other employees
