INTRO

We are looking for a new fullstack Software Developer to join our engineering team. The team is dispatched into 5 squads.

You will be part of the trusted routes squad in charge of implementing our recommendation engine. The recommendation engine enables our clients to find the best company to transport a container from one city (ex: Shanghai) to another (ex: Le Havre). You will participate in the discovery with the product manager and contribute heavily to the delivery with the help of the Senior Software Engineer of the squad. You will also take part to the cross team events (Wakeo Days, Dev Days, Prez Days) and contribute to the vibrant life of the Tech team.

You will be supported in your journey at Wakeo by your Engineering Manager that will help you grow as a Software Engineer.

Short term (4 months) :

• You have a good understanding of the product
• You have a good understanding of our architecture and infrastructure
• You understand and follow the process at Wakeo for product and engineers from discovery to increment release
• You bond with your squad
• You release new increments, reaching sprint goals successfully

• You have a strong understanding of the product
• You have a clear overview of our architecture and infrastructure.
• You release new features at a fast pace.
• You take part into technical discovery for new features.
• You take part into R&D for bringing innovative solutions to Wakeo

IDEAL PROFILE ⭐

• You have graduated from an Engineering/Computer Science School and with minimum 2-4 years of professional experience. Experience in an international B-to-B SaaS is a plus.
• You speak French and English.
• You are familiar with the scrum agile methodology.
• You have an engineering mindset and strong knowledge in development.
• You master:
  • Python and one of this framework FastAPI / Flask / Django for the backend
  • Javascript and one of this framework React / Vue.js / Angular for the frontend
• You have knowledge of other languages/framework such as TypeScript (NestJS), Ruby (Rails).
• You have experience with SQL databases such as Postgresl or MySQL
• You help referencing and absorbing technical debt, perform R&D during your dev days and prez days.
• You have good communication skills by being structured and persuasive and able to make decisions and argue them.
• Good management of ambiguous and complex projects.
