Today, we strive to become the leading expert in A.I. for genomic medicine, operating as the go-to partner for research & development.

Our Computational Biology Team is at the forefront of revolutionizing genomic medicine, combining computational biology methods and data science solutions for DNA and RNA therapies design and development in the pre-clinical phase. We curate datasets and conduct in-depth analyzes of multiple genomic data types employing statistical and machine learning based methods to optimize target discovery, payload design, and vector engineering. Our team’s expertise ensures the accelerated development of genomic medicine, offering precise solutions to intricate scientific and technological challenges.

As the Head of Computational Biology, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our bioinformatics strategy. You will lead a team of five talented computational biologists and work closely with interdisciplinary teams to advance our research and development goals. Your primary responsibilities will include managing large-scale sequencing projects, developing computational analysis systems, and ensuring the successful completion of bio-computational projects.

Profil recherché

We’re Eager to Meet You If…

  • You have a Ph.D or Master’s Degree in life sciences (genomics, cellular and molecular biology, bioinformatics, biological engineering, or a similar field). A background in computer science (machine learning, applied mathematics, software engineering, or a similar field), would be highly beneficial.

  • You have a minimum of five years of experience in a leadership role, managing scientific or technical teams within an industry environment.

  • You have a proven track record of successfully leading projects, consulting engagements, or delivering high-impact scientific research and technological products within the medical, pharmaceutical, or biotech industries.

  • You possess hands-on wet lab experience, enabling you to effectively collaborate with CROs and pharmaceutical teams.

  • You have a proven track record in fast-paced, innovative, and TechBio environments.

  • You have extensive experience in multidisciplinary and international settings, managing bioinformatics projects and leading scientific strategy.

  • You have demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing scalable computational systems for the analysis of omics datasets.

  • You have business-level proficiency in written and verbal English. French proficiency would be a plus.

Here’s How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • You’ll lead, mentor, and develop our Computational Biology team. This would include conducting performance reviews and supporting career development for team members.

  • You’ll oversee the execution of scientific projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Additionally, you’ll manage resources effectively and handle day-to-day operational challenges.

  • You’ll act as the primary liaison between the Computational Biology team and the other scientific teams (Data Science & Structural Biology) as well as the Project Management team, ensuring smooth communication and coordination on project requirements and objectives.

  • You will manage the roadmap and operations for the development and enhancement of computational efficiency and platform components.

  • You’ll collaborate closely with our Principal Scientist to identify and prioritize R&D needs for novel computational capabilities. To add on, you’ll support her in client and partner engagements by providing operational insights and feasibility assessments. You will also work together to allocate resources effectively to meet both client project requirements and R&D goals.
