Job Description:

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Transformation Project Leader (f/m) to join our Configuration Expertise and Processes department based in Marignane, France.

In 2020, Airbus Helicopters Engineering (ET) has launched its transformation through the introduction of the new Ways of Working (WoW) and the Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology.

In parallel, several transformation and improvement projects have been launched during the last 3 years with the objectives of reducing the Non Recurring Costs (NRC), reducing the lead time, leveraging the Digital revolution (Product Life Management, Simulation, Model Based System Engineering, etc) and reinforcing the predictability with an Engineering Cost Model (ECM).

As the external environment continues to be challenging (new regulations, increased competition, general inflation, etc), Airbus Helicopters Engineering (ET) continues its Transformation journey by setting up new ambitious targets to improve Performance and Productivity.

In order to meet the ambition, Airbus Helicopters is looking for additional motivated colleagues who will focus on continuing to transform the Design Office as well as delivering value for our internal and external customers.

Within the "Configuration Expertise and Processes" department we define and control the configuration management processes: product identification, change process, baseline management and product offer. This team is also responsible for the continuous improvement of configuration management processes and performance and is therefore part of this Transformation ambition.

As a member of the team your task will be to define, launch and pilot several projects that will contribute to the Transformation.

Your challenges:

The projects that are targeted to be assessed are, but not limited to::

Develop communalities between Programs, share digital best practices, look for compromise to reach efficiency and performance 

  • Develop new product structure for future H175 versions, knowledge based to reduce the number of Engineering Change Proposal raised and to lower certification workload

  • Intelligence based proposed decision for Change Boards based on history evaluation for Types of Change, Traceability Logic, Classification, Impact check

  • Export control, ITAR (...) entries/classification based on keyword search to autofill details

  • Chat Bot type functionalities for Data Management

    • New Part Number, Part Number Update, ATA Check, Document Code Check, sequence number, Meta Data

  • Explore Artificial Intelligence tool to facilitate link between Commercial References and possible proposed configuration, or any usage of current Configuration Management data

Your profile:

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Knowledge in configuration management and project management would be a plus

  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and applicability to industrial field

  • Creative and Innovative way of thinking

  • Strong team spirit

  • Knowledge of Google Suite

  • English at a negotiation level
