Job description

The Team

The Core AI team is a cross-functional team composed of ML Engineers and Software Engineers. Our 2 missions are to:

1. Provide internal APIs that enable product teams to significantly enhance our customers' experience by automating tasks such as product categorization, attribute extraction, description generation, content translation, and more
2. Advise product teams on new features and user experience design by staying informed on AI state-of-the-art advancements and industry-leading AI-driven products.

Responsibilities

• Write robust Python code.
• Design, build, and deploy APIs to access third-party large language models and internally fine-tuned ML models.
• Reinforce, optimize, and scale our infrastructure.
• Evaluate new AI methods and models, and automate these evaluations.
• Automate model training.
• Transform proof-of-concepts (POCs) into production-ready solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Research Scientists and Product Managers within the team.
• Work with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers from other teams.
• Gather, analyze, and synthesize requirements to create an effective feature roadmap.

Qualifications

• You are proficient in Python and related tooling.
• You possess strong software engineering experience with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
• You have strong experience in building SDKs and APIs for internal or external products.
• You are familiar with architectural patterns for large-scale software applications.
• You have experience in large-scale build, release, CI/CD, and observability practices.
• You take a pragmatic approach to software engineering best practices, drawing inspiration from the best without being dogmatic.

Preferred Qualifications

• You have an understanding of modern machine learning concepts and state-of-the-art deep learning techniques.
• You have a strong interest in and experience with the latest GenAI stack, including LLMs, RAG, and Agents/Tools.
• You have experience in designing, building, and deploying ML applications.

• Initial Conversation: A 30-minute discussion with Marie-Anaïs, our Talent Partner, to learn more about the role and Akeneo.
• Meet the Tech Lead: A 30-minute conversation with Theo, Core AI’s Tech Lead, to delve deeper into the role and discuss your experience and skills.
• Technical Test: Complete a technical test at home (~3 hours), followed by a detailed discussion of your approach and solution during a technical interview (~2 hours).
• Culture Fit: Meet with your future colleagues and manager to ensure a good cultural fit within the team and company.
