Arturia already supports the most common plugin formats such as VST2, VST3, AU, and AAX. Recently, two companies, Bitwig and U-He, introduced a new open-source format called CLAP (CLever Audio Plug-in).
The CLAP format offers several advantages, including:
• Optimizing the use of multi-core processors.
• Organizing effects more efficiently using integrated metadata.
• Automating and modulating parameters per note, leveraging the capabilities of MIDI 2.0.
• Applying non-destructive parameter modulations with a time delay.
The objective for Arturia is to evaluate and potentially integrate this new format into our existing plugins.
It is necessary to have some experience in C++ development and good understanding of Object Oriented Programming, versioning systems, Xcode or Visual would be best. An experience with the world of the MAO /Midi protocol / Modulations is a plus, as well as interest on code optimisation and multi-threading.
