Junior Underwriter for the Latin America Non-Life treaty market. He/she will be in the Business Unit Southern Europe, Latam and the Netherlands and reporting directly to Senior Underwriter of Latam region. Opportunity to grow to an underwriting role in the future, which includes developing new business, interacting with the clients, negotiating the conditions of the treaty contracts. Support senior underwriter for underwriting activities on all non-life treaty business in the region:

Renewal activities

• Making quotations in collaboration with actuary;

• Analyzing and proposing treaty terms and conditions for existing and new business according tothe guidelines;

• Work closely with actuarial and administration teams.

Non-renewal activities

• Study special acceptance requests/endorsements during the year and respond to the client on a timely manner;

• Develop knowledge of market dynamics to support the underwriting performance and strategy for those regions by analyzing results of the business and providing management reports;

• Participatipation to mark visits and seminar attendances.

  Use efficiently and update regularly the key performance indicator tools such as CRM. Support other underwriters when needed.

• 0 to 3 years of experience in reinsurance / insurance;

• Actuarial degree or equivalent;

• Strong analytical skills and good attention to details;

• Good level in MS office tools including advanced Excel experience;

• Strong communication skills;

• Fluent in English and Spanish;

• Keen to learn new things and to take on responsibility;

• Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to work in a challenging environment;

• Good teamwork skills;

• Reinsurance/insurance knowledge is a plus;

• Additional language would be a plus.
