Le poste

Descriptif du poste

As a Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of tens of thousands of students worldwide. You will manage the development of features core to 42’s pedagogy—such as project library management, evaluations, skill progression, and program definition. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the charge in transforming the way we deliver education globally.

We’re looking for someone who is driven by a mission beyond profit. You will have the chance to contribute to the education of future innovators, in alignment with 42’s unique values, and work in a real Product organization with incredible social impact. You will take the PM position leading a squad, supported by an UX designer, the Tech Lead and the development team, following the best practices: agile, DDD, data driven decision making…

Key Responsibilities

  • Discovery & Testing: Lead the discovery phase through interviews and testing (using tools like Figma) to ensure that user needs are deeply understood and reflected in the LX team’s roadmap.

  • Agile Product Management: Own the backlog, prioritizing features that align with strategic goals. You’ll oversee development sprints, primarily using Jira, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality product updates.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the pedagogy team, engineers, and campus staff to ensure that the features being developed meet both local and global educational needs.

  • Program Evolution: Continuously improve the student experience by proposing and implementing innovative, mission-driven solutions that align with 42’s goal to reshape tech education.

  • Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage data from our campuses to guide feature development, ensuring that product decisions enhance both educational outcomes and user satisfaction.

Profil recherché

  • At least 4 years of experience in real product management.

  • Solid knowledge of agile methodologies, with Jira as your main tool for managing sprints and roadmaps, epics/user stories, acceptance tests…

  • Strong experience in discovery (user interviews, prototyping) and testing (Figma).

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, mission-driven environment with high energy and creativity to tackle large-scale challenges.

  • Passion for working in non-profit sectors and for an organization that aims to change the world for the better, truly changing people’s lives and the communities they live in.

  • Solid knowledge of technology (basic architecture, how software works, basic knowledge of coding and development…)

  • On-site presence at least 3 days per week in our sites in the 17th arrondissement and temporarily Saint-Ouen → That’s where our learners are! You need to be (and want to be) close to your users 😉

  • Fluent in French and English

  • Strong alignment with 42’s values of inclusivity and excellence in education, impact of our mission, team spirit and innovation

Preferred Skills

  • Having done 42 is a plus (otherwise expect to do a Piscine as an onboarding process 😉)

  • Having worked in environments with DDD or TDD approaches is a plus

Déroulement des entretiens

  1. CV and Cover Letter: Tell us why you want to join 42 and why you believe you are the perfect fit for this role, beyond what we can see on the CV. (Note: We discourage the use of AI-generated content for your cover letter.)

  2. Initial Call: Introductory quick call with Cesar Miguel, CPO

  3. Team Interview: A deep dive into your knowledge and mindset with the product team. It might be one or two meetings, most likely one of them in person so that you see the place and people IRL 😉

  4. HR/CEO Interview: A final discussion with our HR team or Sophie, our CEO.
