About the entity

AXA is becoming a sustainable tech-led company and at AXA Group Operations we are one of the major catalysts for this transformation.

We set the tone by triggering and empowering the evolution of our insurance business model through technology and innovation, driving its concrete implementation globally at speed, with a high quality of advisory and execution.

We are present across 17 countries with committed, highly qualified teams. We use technology, data, sourcing, security, and investment allocation in a global way, but also achieve economies of scale and synergies when necessary.

At AXA Group Operations, we want to be recognized in three fields of action:

  • State-of-the-art Procurement & Sourcing to drive efficiency and better manage risks
  • High-Performing Global Team for stronger partnerships with AXA entities

Job position pitch

You are passionate for gathering identifying customer needs, managing customer feedback and analyzing market trends? You are in the right place.

As a product owner you will be playing a crucial role in the early stages of product development, leading the discovery and prototyping phases on innovative solutions to revolutionize insurance. You will also play a key role in promoting the roll-out of the existing products to internal and external customers.

Where will you be in the organization?

The division

Within AXA Group Operations, Group Emerging Technology and Data (GETD) defines the Group's data maturity ambitions; builds and manages the community; leads research and expertise; assists the less data mature entities; identifies cutting edge technologies and develops disruptive applications for the entities; creates use cases on specific technologies with the entities.

The department / team

In GETD, you will join the Computable Contracts team.

Within GETD, we have developed a solution to make insurance contracts computable. Computable contracts are the interface of law and technology, they operate standardized digital model that can be easily readable by everyone, from legal experts to regular customers – and computers. It’s a way to express the terms of contracts directly in machine executable code: contract as a code is the basis for automation, standardization and simplification which drive positive impacts both in terms of customer experience (transparency and personalization) and operations efficiency. Computable contracts are a game changer for the insurance industry and for AXA. This strategic initiative is supported at the ExCom level. If you are searching for an impactful job, have an entrepreneurial mindset and like challenges, join us in this new business we are launching!

About the job

Job purpose

Your first role as a product owner is to perform discovery and delivery of new initiatives to improve the existing capabilities of the Computable Contract products, or add new capabilities through:

·        Research: In collaboration with the initiative technical lead and the UX/research designer you will research and gather information to understand the problem space and identify potential solutions. This phase often involves a lot of exploration and analysis to define the scope and requirements of the project.

·        Proof of Concept: You participate to the initial versions of a product or feature: the Proof of Concept, crucial for testing ideas and concepts. Proof of Concepts help in validating assumptions, gathering user feedback, and iterating quickly before validating the transition into full-scale delivery.

·        Delivery: You are responsible for the transfer of the learnings to the delivery phase of the initiatives you followed, through the redaction of the detail specifications, the planning of the different tasks and the identification of dependencies with the product roadmap. You will also follow the initiatives planning and deliverables in support of the initiative leads.

Your second role is to manage the roll-out of the existing Computable Contract solutions to new customers, internally within AXA entities, and in a second step to other insurance actors on the market.

For the internal roll-out this will consist in the following activities:

§  Identify the use cases and drive adoption within the most mature AXA entities

§  Accelerate & monitor adoption within AXA efficiently (engagement, reporting, KPI collection, etc.)

§  Structure the internal roll-out process jointly with the customer success and delivery lead, and identify necessary resources

§  Document the onboarding process for internal entities, including the API integration

§  Scale Computable Contracts’ products adoption within AXA by following business transformation with a single point of contact in each interested entity and any relevant global business community

§  For the external roll-out, the objective is to test the appetite of P&C Retail insurers for AXA CC solution leveraging most mature modules: Coverage Check

Finally, you will support the product management by contributing to the product roadmap, through the benchmarking of the product, the market watch, and the creation of demos and sales pitch, as well as by contributing to the vulgarization and communication of the concepts of computational law, computable contract and contract understanding for internal and external teams.

Other missions & responsibilities

  • Idea Generation and Exploration: Generating innovative ideas and exploring new technologies or methods that could be applied to the project.
  • Feasibility Studies: Following feasibility studies to assess the practicality and potential impact of the proposed ideas.
  • User Testing and Feedback Gathering: In partnership with the UX designer and the initiative leads, conducting user testing sessions and gathering feedback to validate assumptions and identify areas for improvement. Understanding user perspectives is crucial for refining prototypes.
  • Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Collaborating with other product owners and the product manager, the designers, and the developers to ensure that the prototype aligns with user needs and business goals, and to guarantee an efficient delivery. This involves regular communication and coordination with different teams.
We care about your well-being, so we offer:
  • Package consistent of: 45 days of paid leave, flexible working hours and 2 days of remote work, salary structured of fixed pay and bonus as well as many other benefits;
  • Friendly work environment in brand new building in Paris with innovative work space;
