We have a massive opportunity to rethink the way our Order Management System works at Back Market!
We are looking for an Senior Engineering Manager who will lead our Order Management System (OMS) and its related squad. The Order Management squad ensures that transactions are facilitated swiftly and accurately by evolving the end-to-end order lifecycle; enabling new products, partnerships, and services while simultaneously embedding taxes, fee management, and money return processes as integrated parts of an Order Management System.
As Order Management Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for working alongside our business stakeholders and technical partners on 4 different pillars:
- Orders lifecycle and services (like insurances, mobile plans, digital products) attached to it: end-to-end facilitation of financial flows from Customers to Back Market to Sellers, and vice versa
- Taxes: ensuring tax systems are accurate and in compliance with local regulations (EU, USA, APAC)
- Money return (customer compensation and refunds): improving the Customer experience through fast and accurate reconciliation of funds into customer accounts in the event of inaccurate, incomplete, or incompatible goods received
- Fee management (Customer Care by Back Market (CCBM) + smart commission + EPR + service fee and more): increasing Back Market's revenues through fast and accurate billing and execution on well-defined business rules that allow for maximum fee extraction while simultaneously ushering seller loyalty through incentivised commission programs
