Back Market is looking for a Tech Lead Manager who will lead our Acquisition squad (3 Engineers).

The team supports the growth of both organic and paid traffic with projects such as internal linking automation or feeds creation and optimization for all channels.

In this hybrid role, you will manage a team of talented engineers as well as contribute directly to the services development.

Your mission is to ensure technical excellence, foster collaboration and drive innovation, embracing a growth hacking mindset based on experimentation, continuous improvement and proximity with stakeholders.

You will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of high-impact projects, ensuring alignment with our business goals.

What you'll be doing :

  • Leading a collaborative team in delivering great software that our customers will love!
  • Collaborating within the product engineering department to align the team with company objectives and initiatives across engineering and the wider business
  • You build strong roadmaps with the right balance of long-term strategic initiatives and more short-term tactical bets that embody the company’s strategy and the team’s growth-hacking mindset
  • Demonstrating a broad understanding of our global architecture and how your domains fits within it
  • Consistently delivering code that sets the standard for quality and maintainability
  • Ensuring the development of people through ongoing coaching and mentoring
  • Creating a team environment where team members feel like they belong and are supported to do their best work
  • Establishing open communication and a culture of feedback between team members
  • Working in an agile "build it and run it" environment where engineering teams build, launch, monitor and support the sections they own
  • Supporting your team in increasing delivery proficiency by creating a learning environment

  • Experience and passion for growing, developing, and guiding people
  • You like managing a team while continuing to contribute technically
  • Openness to receiving and giving feedback in a safe workplace
  • Experience working in agile development teams with knowledge of our following tech stack : AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, RestFul API, Python, Django, VueJs, Nuxt, Datadog, Spinnaker,  Nginx, UWSGI
  • Interest in working in an environment where leaders support their teams to do great work, by removing impediments, finding improvements, and facilitating effective decision-making
  • Enthusiasm about reaching new levels of effectiveness (and quality!)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Excitement to learn about how our industry works and the impact we bring to our customers and the world
  • You have a problem-solving attitude and are comfortable navigating ambiguous situations with data and putting the user at the center.
  • You have a growth hacking mindset, you don't wait to act, you run experiments to test new ideas, and based on data you leverage these learnings to build more value
