1- Analysis and rating of proposals
Analyses underwriting proposals;
Determines and negotiates acceptance conditions in line with the company’s underwriting policy;
Participates in the decision to accept the business within the framework of its delegated services and the rules specific to the nature of the reinsurance transaction;
May be required to set prices using the tools provided, and to propose terms and conditions.
2- Business follow-up
Checks that the business under his/her responsibility is running smoothly;
Follows up claims on business for which he/she is responsible;
Participates in business switching.
3- Commercial
Identifies commercial targets;
Implements action plans for the market or sector for which he/she is responsible;
During its travels, and by analyzing existing documents and reviews, stays informed of the market and its evolution in order to acquire the technical, economic and commercial knowledge necessary to be well aware of the conditions and take the best acceptance decisions;
Contributes to updating the company’s customer database.
4- Forecasting results and monitoring claims
Produces profit forecasts for all its underwritings based on information from the ceding company, statistical data, events and comparisons with results as they occur;
Checks the admissibility and validity of the claim in relation to the policy cover, based on the reports provided or requested;
Validates cash claims submitted to it.
5- Transversal
May be required to perform a representative role (speech, presentation, etc.);
May be required to manage in the absence of the Manager.
You have a minimum of 5 years’ higher education degree with specialisation in actuarial science;
You have 5 years’ experience in Treaty underwriting;
Knowledge of reinsurance concepts is essential;
Your organisation, communication skills and thoroughness will also be essential assets for this position.
