Reporting line: Finance Shared Services Center Manager, Portugal
Responsibilities & Duties
Creation and maintenance of master data, both suppliers and customers following the procedure and Country local rules •
Receiving and manage requests or invoices from different suppliers or agents
Directing the requests to the appropriate accounting team members for further processing
Ensuring smooth communication between parties involved (both internal teams and external agents) and addressing any issues that may arise
Monitoring workflow to ensure tasks are completed on time, without being involved in the transactional or accounting entries
Monitoring outstanding balances and ensuring that payments and collections are made on time, involving the appropriate stakeholders when necessary.
Basic Financial Knowledge: Understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and transactional processes like invoicing, payments, and reconciliation.
Attention to Detail: Ability to identify discrepancies in transactions, invoices, and payment records to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication to liaise with internal teams and external teams across countries.
Problem-Solving: Capacity to resolve payment issues, manage queries from agents, and handle discrepancies in accounts.
Time Management: Effective prioritization of tasks in a fast-paced environment, particularly when handling multiple transactions and deadlines.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday) and proficiency in Excel for financial reporting and data analysis.
Customer Service Orientation: Ability to maintain positive relationships with agents and stakeholders, managing expectations and resolving inquiries.
Adaptability: Flexibility to work in an evolving environment, as processes in SSC’s often undergo changes or improvements.
Language : Portuguese and English
