IMPORTANT
Given the current climate, we have to be as efficient as possible as the candidate must obtain their VISA and be settled in Paris before the start of the placement. A VISA is required for British nationals who wish to enter and work in France for a period of 6 months. Obtaining a VISA requires specific documentation including an internship agreement signed by the DREETS in France, whose processing time can be up to 1-2 months. It is important to organise all relevant documentation in good time and be proactive so that you can start working on the agreed date. We manage the recruitment so you have an ‘overlap week’ with the current intern who will help you with the onboarding process and answer any questions you have.
The office is ideally located in one of the best central parts of Paris (Le Marais): 66 Rue des Archives, 75003 Paris.
This 6-month internship is well suited to British university students in their 3rd year undertaking a ‘Year Abroad’ or to Masters students studying French (with a mandatory ‘convention de stage’). The language spoken in the office is French, so a good comprehension level is required to do the job well. This provides a great opportunity to improve your spoken French, especially with the social environment at lunch and the company’s internal events. The role is very varied and you will adapt to learning as you go. You will gain excellent experience working in a professional world while still being part of a friendly and sociable team. If you’re keen to challenge yourself, improve your language skills, and make a difference within a growing tech company, then you would fit in well at LoungeUp!
