About this opportunity:
Customer interest and expectations of security are growing, especially with the introduction of 5G and related services. The protection of information is important to our business, reputation, and brand. It is therefore crucial that our customers can trust that our products and the technology behind them are secure.
We are now searching for an experienced RAN Tester in our Vulnerability Assessment service, located in Ericsson’s France R&D Center. The scope of the tests is RAN products/solutions from a security perspective.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform Vulnerability Analysis (VA) tests for new features, products and new attack surfaces
Work in a team to perform VA testing and basic pentesting for Radio products
Work with remote and international teams
VA test & reporting per feature/release for RAN nodes
Preparing, integrating and maintaining VA environment – lab setup, troubleshooting, configuration changes, and new tools deployment
Contribute to the VA Tools team to identify, explore and develop new testing tools
Interact with Automation Team
Propose and drive improvements when needed
Key Qualifications:
At least 4-5 years of experience in testing
Genuine interest and curiosity about RAN, product testing, security, and VA tools (nmap, hping3 etc.)
Ability to perform analysis, pre-studies, investigations for tests and tools analysis, complete tests, evaluate test results
Programming skills in bash, Linux, Python, C and JAVA
Troubleshooting, problem solving, end-to-end thinking
Communication skills. It is mandatory to be fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
Good knowledge in telecom protocols (LTE / NR)
Understanding of automation in development processes such as DevSecOps & CI/CD is a plus
