Let’s talk about the role

We require a strategic and commercial finance executive with experience in the fintech start-up and scale-up world. 

The Chief Financial Officer will play a key role in setting up the reporting and accounting. Also he will assist the founders in fundraising for growth, investor relations, and business planning.

The Chief Financial Officer will create a financial operating model that is robust, scalable, and designed to support growth. The CFO will manage financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and budgets in France, Slovakia and Czech Republic.

Your tasks: 

1. Develop and implement financial strategies that support growth in revenue and profit 

2. Continuously monitor and improve reporting and accounting processes and systems, providing execution and management of the finance function

3. Identifying, negotiating and selecting suppliers of the services that need to be covered by the 3rd party (payroll, accounting outsourcing etc)

4. Monitoring company’s financial performance and liquidity 

5. Developing and implementing business plans (1 year budget and plan, 3 year plan) 

6. Establishing and Monitoring the reporting systems and preparing stand-alone and consolidated financial results. 

7. Ensuring accurate, detailed and proper reporting.

8. Supervise accounting and finance on monthly basis. 

9. Supervise the process of tax returns preparation. 

10. Coordinate annual audit

11. Coordinate the reporting to investors 

12. Work closely with the CEO on fundraising plans, financial communications, investor relations, capital structure, due diligence, and negotiations

13. Oversee the preparation of financial reports and statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements

14. Identify and mitigate financial risks, coordinate the audit process, ensure compliance with all financial regulations and laws, liaise and negotiate with investors, suppliers, and banks

The skills you’ve picked up along the way:

• Over 5 years of experience in Finance Management field

• Ability to work on multiple task and countries simultaneously

• Advanced level of English language

• Ready to travel 

• Knowledge of finance law and practices 

Your life pre-ESKA:

1. Masters degree in finance, accounting, or related field, 

2. Experience scaling fast growth, successful start-up businesses with international operations 

3. At least 5 years as a CFO, preferably within a start-up or fintech company with PE or VC backing

4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and leadership abilities, and proven ability to meet financial and business objectives 

5. Experience in forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting, knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements
