As a Head of Operations at Hero, you will play a pivotal role in designing and leading the operational strategy to ensure seamless and efficient execution of our solutions for European digital SMEs. Working closely with the Executive team, you will lead the Operations department, driving excellence across processes, compliance, and risk management.

Your end goal: Optimize and scale operational processes to enhance efficiency, support Hero’s hyper-growth, and ensure robust risk management. 🎯

Your Missions will be to:

• Define and execute the operational strategy, aligning it with Hero’s mission: solving working capital and cash flow issues for European digital SMEs through innovative credit solutions.

• Lead and grow the Operations team (composed of 5 KYC & Operations Specialists), fostering collaboration with internal teams (Product, Compliance, Finance) and external stakeholders.

• Oversee onboarding and activation processes, ensuring seamless and efficient operational execution.

• Drive process optimization and automation to increase efficiency, scalability, and compliance.

• Monitor key performance indicators related to operational efficiency and risk management (SLAs on KYC checks, processing time, recovery rate).

• Develop and implement robust operational controls to mitigate risk and maintain service quality (including Dunnings by AI).

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, overseeing KYC processes, KYC renewals, transaction monitoring, and ongoing risk assessments.

• Supervise daily transaction monitoring, banking operations, and recovery processes to ensure financial integrity and smooth execution.

• Anticipate operational challenges linked to Hero’s growth and proactively implement solutions.

Your Profile? 🦸

• A graduate with a master’s degree and 7+ years of experience in Operations within the Fintech or Banking sector. You have in-depth knowledge of the financial/credit industry.

• An expert in payment/financial/credit products, capable of guiding the CEO and the executive team in strategic decision-making and aligning Hero’s operation strategy with its long-term goals.

• A proven track record in scaling operational teams and processes in a fast-paced environment.

• A decisive leader, unafraid to make impactful business decisions and take responsibility for them.

• With excellent interpersonal skills, capable of building, motivating, and empowering teams.

• A problem solver with excellent analytical skills, able to manage complex projects with autonomy.

• An excellent communicator who effectively liaises with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Agile and flexible, you easily adapt to a fast-paced and high-growth environment.

• Proficiency in Excel and SQL, Python is a plus.

• Fluency in both English and French is mandatory.
