As an Investment Analyst at Karmen, you will have the opportunity to grow the Karmen portfolio with your own opinion on each deal. As an Investment Analyst, your role will be key in the global Karmen’s strategy.
Indeed, at Karmen, we give our 100% confidence in the person who has just joined us. We are seeing every type of deal: from working capital deals to acquisition deals or high balance-sheet deals.
Directly in front of Karmen’s founders during the credit committee, you will have the unique opportunity to explain and debate your decision. To do so, you will be directly in contact with the customer (CFOs, CEO, advisors) for collecting information needed for the analysis.
As your responsibilities do not end with a decision, in any case of delinquency, you will be the first link with the borrower for negotiating and managing the collection in-late.
In addition, as you are working in FinTech, you will be involved in the improvement of Karmen’s risk evaluation model, customer journey, and product. Meaning that you will frequently work with the tech department.
Day-to-day at Karmen:
Receiving deals from Karmen’s sales ;
Analyzing the transactions and finding the best financing solution for the company ;
Discussing with the management for understanding the business model and his strategy ;
Assessing risks and writing full IM for the credit committee ;
Fulfill credit committee expectations and customer interests ;
Negotiating terms with the customer ;
Presenting the offer ;
Improving Karmen’s products and risk evaluation
Improving credit process
You will work daily with Antoine, Head of Credit, as your manager.
You will work with Hugo, Clément and Marie, all members of the Credit team.
You will also work with the Sales and Tech team !
You will have contact with our clients (CEO and CFO).
6 months internship or alternance, starting in March 2024 (+/- 1 month)
Bac +4/5 with a specialty in Corporate Finance
At least one internship in M&A, VCs, Credit, FinTech (corporate credit specialization), or advisors.
French (written & spoken) + English (written) mandatory
Pack Office (VBA or Python would be a plus)
Strong financials analysis mindset:
Balance sheet and P&L analysis
Reviewing bank statements thanks to our model
Create different scenarios based on the management business plan
Very good understanding of accounting
