Your mission will be twofold:

• Ensure a highly reliable carpooling service that remains fast and responsive, even under increasing usage volumes.

• Contribute to feature development to enhance the experience for both users and our B2B clients, including enterprises and local authorities.

You will be part of the Web & Data team, working on the core components of our system in close collaboration with the Mobile and Data Science teams. You’ll develop new backend features for our Mobile and Web products while improving existing codebases in terms of structure and performance. You’ll work alongside three other senior backend developers to tackle these challenges.

In all your work, you’ll keep a strong focus on performance and quality.

What we’re looking for in you:

• You are autonomous and enjoy working on diverse projects.

• You have experience developing in complex, existing systems. You can dive into third-party code, analyze it, and quickly understand how it works.

• You are motivated by technical challenges but also care deeply about product impact. You aim to ensure that your work meets the expectations of other teams and, most importantly, the needs of our users.

• Expert proficiency in Python, with solid experience in development tools and environments

• Rigorous, with a collaborative mindset and familiarity with code reviews.

• Experience in REST API development and ensuring reliability with unit testing.

• Hands-on experience in Cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure) and message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka, Pub/Sub).

• Strong expertise in relational databases, including query optimization in high-volume environments.

• Good understanding of software architecture patterns and familiarity with Django/Django REST Framework.

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Terraform, GitHub CI) and experience improving system monitoring and observability.

• Awareness of security best practices and integration of external APIs (e.g., SSO, payment providers).
