Manufacturing Lead Engineer

As part of the “Infrastructure and MAIT Engineering” team, you will be in charge of one or more industrial subsystems development related to our launch vehicle production system. Located in our future Maia Factory in France, the production system includes manufacturing and assembly lines, test and control equipment and logistics.

You will act as an autonomous technical leader, responsible to design, deliver and handover to production teams this industrial system achieving the required performance (capacity steps, investment cost, cycle time, quality and recurring costs as main KPIs).

Your main activities and duties will be:

  • Define the high-level requirements and the preliminary technical specifications of industrial subsystems and manage bidding process to select partners and suppliers.
  • Implement factory layouts, achieve equipment selection, perform required acceptances with suppliers and production commissioning.
  • Follow and manage the industrial subsystems development from detailed design and implementation phases, up to start of production, including configuration, waivers and anomalies.
  • Define and integrate the Control and Validation Plan , and the Check-Out Logic in the process, using tools like PFMEA.
  • Optimize industrial performance and flexibility of the line, in an Agile context (volumes, product definition, iterative approach), including continuous improvement process in your area based on Lean principles.

Profil recherché

🛸 Background and Skills

Master degree or equivalent in mechanical or industrial engineering

6-10 years of professional experience as project manager or technical leader in industrial context, ideally related to complex mechanical industrial equipment and/or manufacturing engineering

Basic knowledge of welding process and materials

Autonomous, proactive attitude towards resolution of problems

Team player with the ability to collaborate with people from different disciplines and cultures

Knowledge or practice of Agile methodology

Good French speaking skills
