Founded in France in 2013 by two French DIY enthusiasts amazed at the lack of digitalization in the market, ManoMano is now present in 6 European countries (France, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Germany, UK), federates over 5,000 sellers and now offers the widest range of DIY and gardening products online (+19 million products references).

Motivated by the prospect of improving the living environment of their customers and convinced of the importance of the home market for sustainable consumption habits, the ManoMano teams want to help write a new page in their industry, which is struggling to reform itself. To continue its growth and the digital transformation of the DIY and online Home Improvement markets, ManoMano has built a specialized organization by product vertical for the French market. In this context, we are looking for a Category Manager for a 6-month fixed-term contract for the Garden and Indoor Furniture categories in France. You will join the Commerce & Seller’s Partnership department within the France team, responsible for the development of your markets.

Mission

With your ability to manipulate and analyze data, you will guide the commercial strategy, offer, and merchandising to achieve business volume development objectives. With strong convictions, you know how to defend your opinions within your team and across departments.

Strategy and offer development:

  • Analyze and interpret internal data and market trends, conduct comparative analyses, establish strategic recommendations and action plans to achieve business volume development objectives.

  • Monitor action plans with our partner merchants, in close collaboration with the Key Account Managers.

  • Analyze the market category: consumption trends, digital penetration, and business opportunity detection.

  • Conduct comparisons between ManoMano's offer and the market to propose recommendations.

  • Commercial Animation:

  • Put yourself in the customers' shoes to structure the catalog to facilitate purchasing.

  • Be the sales animator by selecting the products to highlight in the tree structure, identifying best-sellers and essential products in the catalog.

  • Identify key times of the year by bringing your knowledge to the team responsible for commercial animation and sourcing to build a powerful commercial calendar.

Profile

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position.

  • Analytical mindset, data-oriented, and ability to synthesize a large amount of data.

  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic and changing environment.

  • Knowledge of E-commerce and marketplaces.

  • Familiarity with the home improvement market in France, its products, and specificities, as well as customer expectations; knowledge of the tools and electricity market will be a plus.

  • Strong sensitivity to customer experience issues.

  • Ability to understand complex data, interpret it meaningfully, and formulate strategic recommendations.

  • Fluent in French and English.

  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.
