A Day in the Life

As an Experienced Financial Controller reporting to the Controlling Manager of L’Oréal Corporate, you will be a key business partner, driving the financial performance of assigned Business Units. You will work closely with operational teams, ensuring financial objectives are met and best practices are followed. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the overall success of L’Oréal while developing your expertise in a dynamic and challenging environment.

  • Financial Planning & Analysis: You will prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, explaining variances and identifying trends. You will build strategic financial frameworks, budgets, and forecasts for your assigned Business Units. You will also proactively identify financial risks and opportunities, proposing mitigating actions to ensure budget targets are achieved.
  • Management Reporting & Compliance: You will prepare management reports for senior leadership, including the General Management team and other key committees. You will ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial data in line with Group deadlines. You will maintain the accuracy and quality of management data, including key budget categories, consulting expenses, shadow IT, internal and external financial flows, investments, and key performance indicators. You will also ensure compliance with IFRS and L’Oréal Group standards, including internal controls, Purchase-to-Pay processes, and management guidelines.
  • Process Improvement & Support: You will manage and organize the invoicing process for client entities. You will actively participate in ad-hoc cross-functional analyses. You will maintain the accuracy of the analytical framework (Business Units, Cost Centers, Internal Orders, etc.) and integrate new activities into the system, starting with the Group Commercial Direction Business Unit. You will drive improvements in “Pay On Time” initiatives, monitoring outstanding payments, following up with finance departments, analyzing KPIs, and reducing invoice volume and supplier creation.

We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate possesses a strong analytical mind, a meticulous approach, and excellent communication skills. They are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are adept at using financial systems such as Compass and SAP (knowledge of Neo is a plus). This role requires a collaborative spirit and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Solid understanding and application of IFRS and L’Oréal Group financial standards.
  • Proven experience in financial controlling (3+ years).
  • Proficiency in Compass and SAP; knowledge of Neo is a plus.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
