Join our Travel Retail team as a Worldwide Buyer based in Paris.

YOUR MISSION

This global role encompasses both direct and indirect sourcing for Travel Retail. You’ll manage direct sourcing for Travel Retail Exclusives (TREX), including packaging, co-packing, and accessories, destined for airports, downtown stores, e-commerce, and other travel retail channels. Additionally, you’ll oversee indirect sourcing worldwide, covering crucial areas such as business services, retail and promotions, IT, CMI, and marketing services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzes the needs and manages the demand: collects, understands and challenges the needs of prescribers
  • Guarantees the required functional level at the best costs (improves the cost model)
  • Defines the purchasing strategy: organizes and brings together market knowledge elements, proposes action plans
  • Increases the spend covered by sourcing: sets up supplier lists by category (PSL), makes them available on MyMarket, communicates them/manages communications
  • Maximizes supplier relationships: defines and develops a supplier portfolio strategy, manages performance and analyzes P&Ls, provides clear feedback and monitors action plans, organizes Business Reviews of main suppliers
  • Operates in accordance with the principles of internal control and legal rules
  • Assesses and manages risks: applies the policy and risk management tools (Social Compliance, Anti-Corruption, Cybersecurity, etc.), proposes action plans, alerts relevant stakeholders
  • Leads its network of stakeholders: provides the network with internal/external information, shares best practices, communicates/shares supplier information with its stakeholders.
  • Drives performance and efficiency: builds, shares and verifies hypotheses for budget construction and trends
  • Drives the continuous improvement of financial and non-financial KPIs
  • Contributes (identifies, proposes, implements) to the group’s responsible sourcing policy (Inclusive sourcing, POS eco-design, Timber, CDP, Ecovadis, circular economy, reduction of carbon emissions, etc.)
  • Supports the digitalization of purchasing such as run the purchasing portal
  • Make purchasing a pillar of the organization, a contributor and contribution of value to the organization


WHO YOU ARE
  • Proven experience in the field of direct sourcing, packaging and contract manufacturing (experience in indirect purchasing is a plus) for the TREX activity
  • Ability to listen & strength of proposal, to innovate and support change
  • Strong appetite for financial issues and mastery of negotiation techniques
  • Good knowledge of the Pack office tool, and strong sensitivity with IS
  • Good knowledge of the MySourcing tool, and MyMarket for Indirect Sourcing
  • Management of priorities and complexity
  • Ability to work in a team, good communication, ability to unite and take a step back
  • Sense of internal and external customer
  • A fluent level of English
