As German Lead you will directly work with Evan, Co-founder & CEO, and will have a close collaboration with both Julien, Co-founder & CPO for all implications on product and operations, as well as Felix, part-time business development in Germany.
We are looking for a German Business Development Lead to support the penetration of the German market.
Your responsibilities as German Business Development Lead :
Play an instrumental role in the overall Go-to-Market strategy for Germany
Build on the learnings of the successful commercialisation in France and Benelux
Identify and build the relevant partnerships to conquer the ecosystem on prioritized asset classes (with lawyers, incubators, and communities of angel investors)
Identify and attend key events to connect with our ecosystem (e.g. Bits & Pretzels, TOA, SuperVenture)
Initiate new formats in a creative and resourceful manner
Lead and close sales discussions – a broad range guarantees a steep learning curve, incl. deals from €100k founder SPVs, over to €10M+ pre-IPO secondaries or €50M solo GP funds
Contribute to increase Roundtable visibility and branding in Germany
Have a continuous view on the competitive landscape
Structure a team to support the growth in the German market in the near future
Set up and follow effective tracking of initiatives
Provide crucial input to the founders on strategic discussions
Your role will be at the center of Roundtable’s strategy.
The main challenges you will be confronted with are:
High-calibre stakeholders - you will interact with top European Business Angels, partners of VC firms, lawyers, decision-makers at family offices & more.
Challenging target audience - you will need to develop very high-quality content.
Complex regulatory framework in Europe.
Multi-geography approach
Experience: You have 5+ years of experience in business development positions in the German ecosystem and are at ease with the regulatory environment
Language: You speak and write German and English perfectly
Interest: You are connected in the angel investing ecosystem and are driven by the private investment and the venture capital /private equity world.
Entrepreneurial mindset: you thrive in fast-paced environments where you have broad responsibilities
Ownership mentality: you are a doer and have a bias for action, no task is below you
