When he realized the central place of social dynamics in the investments in private markets, where exclusive opportunities are only available to a limited few, he decided to co-found Roundtable to facilitate the matching of opportunity providers with investors.

Simon Ternoir, CTO and co-founder of Roundtable, brings over 15 years of diverse experience in engineering, entrepreneurship, and leading international teams in the US, Asia, and Europe. Having co-founded two startups, one in web marketing and another in AI, Simon now fosters a remote-first, diverse, and international engineering team at Roundtable.
Nicolas, a former litigation associate at a leading international law firm, thrives on tackling complex and multidimensional legal issues with innovative, pragmatic and creative solutions. As a generalist, he enjoys exploring various fields of laws, including those which are not in his initial expertise. It is then only natural that Nicolas embarked on the Roundtable journey to become the community-led platform for private market investments, by facilitating the creation of more efficient, innovative and effective legal solutions.
Julien brings extensive product expertise, with multiple first-PM roles across B2C consumer apps and B2B SaaS products. He thrives in early-stage environments and has developed a strong focus on user experience. At Roundtable, he aims to drive impact by democratizing private market investing, working to simplify complex processes and enhance social dynamics.
Marina, Legal Counsel at Roundtable, enjoys navigating the complexities of various legal fields, from regulatory matters to corporate governance and tax issues. At Roundtable, she thrives in a dual role: finding legal solutions for complex deal structures and support the development of new products. Marina was drawn to Roundtable by the company’s mission to combine legal expertise with commercial strategies, allowing her to grow intellectually by having an exceptional learning experience.

In the past decade, the majority of wealth creation has shifted from public to private markets. However, investing in private markets, particularly startups, has been limited to a select few due to the need for personal networks to access investment opportunities, expertise to evaluate them, and adequate capital to invest. Community investing offers a solution to this problem by allowing individuals to pool their networks, expertise, and capital.
Roundtable was founded with the aim of enabling community investing in Private markets with an initial focus on start ups. We developed a platform that allows individuals to create their own communities, invite members to join, share investment opportunities in a click, and collectively pool their capital to invest in startups. By simplifying the process of pooling networks, expertise, and capital, communities on Roundtable can gain access to a greater number of investment opportunities, make informed decisions, and meet minimum investing requirements. We have also eliminated the legal and administrative obstacles that are commonly associated with community investing.
Further down the line, we will open other asset classes (such as Venture capital or Private Equity) and aim to become the one-stop shop for non-professional investors for all alternative asset investments. To achieve our vision we need to build a premium brand around Roundtable.

As a remote-friendly company, we have set up internal routines to maintain a constant communication between each other and thus facilitate the transfer of informations. We meet up during weekly kick-offs, daily stand ups, quarterly demotime and bi-annual offsite. Everyone makes themselves accessible, at all levels of the organization.
