As Head of Global Procurement Professional Services – Medical & Scientific within our Procurement team, the key focus of this role is to build, align and execute the different category strategies, to support P&C and R&D and the business transformation related to the separation journey (exit of the GSA, new policies).
Leading a 5 people organization, you will play an active role in driving Opella. transformation. Building the strategic supplier relationship to accelerate and secure the transformation, to support P&C in defining the Opella. Policies.

Main responsibilities:
Strategy
Develop, implement & execute competitive and innovative Procurement category strategies:
based on market intelligence: assessing risks and opportunities
aligned with Opella. policies znd business needs
Budget & Strategic Plan fully aligned with Business while delivering added value
Lead, manage and coordinate the overall collaboration with Business Partners
Sustainability as part of the strategy DNA: fully embedded into the projects, supplier awards and business decisions
Contract & Relationship Management
Ensure compliance with master service agreements and/or specific contracts are in place and terms and conditions of master service agreements and/or specific contracts,
including the service / technical agreement are met by all parties in the contract
Build and implement best-in-class strategies policies while challenging the demands
Monitor the contract life cycle and proactively manage negotiation phases with involved operational teams (i) in the set-up of a contract or (ii) request of quotation (RFQ) related to a strategic Supplier/Distributors
Ensure that risk management assessment and risk mitigation strategies are in place in close collaboration with the Business
Lead Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) program for the Domain
Business Collaboration & Partnering
Business Partner role to R&D, Head of REFM, Head of Talent Acquisition, Corporate services stakeholders, Travel&fleet decision makers.
Facilitate and build collaborative Business Partnering across the Business Unit internally and across the supplier network
Build and maintain strong interfaces and collaborations with other departments like Finance.
People Management
Lead, manage and develop a Global team across different countries and provide the right direction and guidance regarding their specific supplier management and partnership activities, own objectives, way of improvement.

University degree in engineering/process, Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain or equivalent
At least 15 years’ experience in a Management or Transversal role with proven record in term of change management and result delivery - plus experience in Consumer Health Care or FMCG
At least 5 years of People Management
Solid understanding of both Procurement and Operations; a combination of functional experiences in both Professional Services or R&D as well as Procurement would be ideal
Extensive leadership skills/experience with proven track record in building and leading cross functional teams
Strong capability to manage business and interact with executive level: internal and external stakeholders, Suppliers, and complex environment
Strong business acumen and ability to build sustainable business connectivity
Highly effective communication skills
Outstanding leadership and change management skills
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
Solid understanding in Cost management, budgeting and controlling - ability to understand and explain a P&L to pilot financial performance
Highly effective communication & leadership skills to engage / motivate / lead teams
