As a Synamedia Solutions Architect you will be key to understanding customer challenges and pain points and translating these into a solution utilizing Synamedia Video network products, adaptations or 3rd party products using your strong domain knowledge. The Solution Architect role takes the lead on translating the business and technical requirements into a functional and supportable Solution and articulating these back to the customer in the form of solution descriptions and presentations. The Solution Architect will collaborate with presales and delivery teams and will need to consider, delivery and integration aspects, life cycle management, pricing and contractual terms of a proposed Solution.

Main Tasks:
• To take responsibility for understanding, developing and delivering an E2E solution, inclusive of integration with 3rd party solutions or Synamedia Video Network Products with Adaptations
• To design and cost Solution proposals that satisfy the end Customers, budget, operational and supportability requirements with support from a Senior Solutions Architect.
• To support Professional Services Engineers and fellow Solution Architects on implementation of the overall designs for delivery of the final solution.
• To work alongside the account team and Engagement Manager to ensure an accurately priced and well-constructed proposal.
• To work alongside the Project Manager, providing technical input, to ensure a successful delivery of scope, within budget and time milestones.
• To maintain an understanding of Synamedia and vendor technology solutions in the marketplace.
• Be able to work with 3rd parties to provide pricing and product/solution information corresponding to conceptual and final designs.
• To be familiar with Sales and delivery processes and tools
• Communicate at a high-level complex designs to end customers in written and verbal form.
• To collaborate with Engineering to support scoping and testing of product customizations
• To collaborate with Services adaptation team to scope, validate and test new solution adaptations
Required Skills:
• Educated to a minimum of degree level in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science related subject AND proven professional experience in design, solution architecture, and implementation for large TV broadcast projects
• Strong awareness and experience in, the fields of origination, programming, transmission, broadcasting and distribution of TV digital communications.
• Strong television industry wide experience of 15 years or more.
• Proven experience working with the following technologies,
• Familiarity and experience with native cloud and orchestration technologies such as:
Ad Insertion, OTT and CDN technologies
Contribution and distribution (including ground to cloud)
DTT, DSAT and Cable
Video Compression
IP networking knowledge
Data center technologies such as virtualization
• Experience working on live systems and migration planning
• Be able to share knowledge gained with more junior members of the team.
• Ability to break down complex concepts and simplify

• Strong inter-personal and soft skills
• Must be able to communicate and present effectively with different seniorities of audience
• Must have excellent documentation skills for construction of written proposals, white papers and Method Of Procedure (MOPS)
• Scripting Skills utilising languages such as Python preferable
• Occasional visits to local office required for meetings with colleagues
• Work will mostly be remote but travel maybe required occasionally to support customer meetings.
