About the role
Trustpair is searching for a talented Senior Frontend Engineer to join it’s growing team. Working alongside our two Frontend Engineers in our Connect & Collaborate team, you’ll help us to create a scalable and efficient product which meets our clients’ needs!
As a Frontend Engineer, you’ll have a collaborative role, working on all aspects of software development, from the design, architecture, implementation and enhancement of the Javascript frontend of our application.
This role is a freelance contract, open full remote across the EU.
What you'll do:
- Take the lead in creating innovative features for our frontend application, using the latest Javascript tools
- Go beyond mere implementation by following best practices and maintaining exceptional code quality
- Engage in every phase of the SDLC; contribute to the architecture, code development, and even oversee the launch of new releases
- Support critical services for our customers which ensures the security of their payments
- Keep a finger on the pulse of the technology landscape. Identify emerging technologies and industry trends, and be proactive in recommending relevant improvements to our existing stack
- Champion engineering excellence by fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Lead by example in practices such as code reviews, Test-Driven Development (TDD), pair programming, writing clean and maintainable code, etc
- Use your excellent communication skills to interact frequently & effectively with various stakeholders at Trustpair

Must-Haves:
- At least 5 years of experience in Javascript development
- Solid experience with React and Typescript
- Working experience with a CSS framework, such as SCSS, Bootstrap or Tailwindcss
- Working experience with a test framework, preferably Jest (experience of react-testing-library is a must)
- Ability to learn advanced frontend concepts and techniques in a fast paced environment
- Fluent in English
- Ability to communicate well with technical & non-technical stakeholders within the company
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with Next.js and micro-frontend architecture is a plus
- Experience with Design Systems
- Experience in an environment where security is important; sensitivity to good security practices
- Experience on working on a rapidly growing product; knowledge of architectural models of large scale web applications
- Experience in mentoring and leadership of junior and experienced people for good practices of software craftsmanship
