Upway is hiring an Operations Intern among its Operations team. The Operations team’s role is to build and improve our processes in order to offer a seamless customer experience. This includes collecting bikes from sellers, inspecting and repairing them in our workshops, shipping them to consumers and managing after-sales support. Our goal is to build the most efficient, highest-quality and safest operation at scale.
The Operations Intern will be responsible for managing some of the day to day operations, as well as for working on parts of the operational flow, building processes to optimize operations, analyzing data to understand and bridge gaps, while working closely with the rest of the company to provide best in class experiences to customers.
Manage technicians on the floor to ensure speed of execution, quality of outputs and safety of everyone
Analyze, improve and take ownership of key parts of our operational flow, so that our operations get better every day
Design and implement processes to optimize customer experience and financial efficiency
Work closely with the rest of the company to support fast growth and expansion

Strong academic background: engineering, business
Comfort with working in a fast-paced and changing environment: background in strategy consulting or finance is a plus
Attention to details and obsession for operational excellence: previous operational experience in an industrial environment is a plus
Great problem solving skills: able to analyse data, establish root causes and take actions
Strong communication skills: able to manage a team on the floor, clearly frame problems and draft solutions
Fluency in French and proficiency in English
