A day in the life of a Senior Frontend Developer
As a Senior Frontend Developer, you will play a pivotal role as both a consultant/client advisor, and a hands-on developer. Your responsibilities will encompass every stage of client engagements, from initial discovery to final delivery. This will involve close collaboration with local and regional project teams, both internally at Valtech and alongside our valued clients.
Your role as a consultant/client advisor will not only entail providing technical expertise but also understanding the business needs of our clients and effectively communicating how our solutions can address their challenges and contribute to their success.
In addition, you will:
- Act as a trusted advisor to our clients, offering expert guidance and solutions to address their business needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy frontend solutions that meet client requirements
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and methodologies
- Actively participate in client meetings, workshops, and presentations to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle
- Javascript, HTML, CSS
- TypeScript
- Next.js or other React frameworks
- Headless CMS architectures and technologies
- GraphQL
- API integrations
- Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence
- CMS/eCommerce platforms like Sitecore, Adobe, Optimizely, etc.
- At least 5-8+ years of experience in frontend development, especially within modern frontend stacks
- Solid experience with React and its ecosystem
- Proven track record of effectively engaging with stakeholders and identifying opportunities to add value to their projects
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (A11Y, WCAG, etc.) to build inclusive and compliant web applications
- Flexibility to work on-site in and around Gothenburg multiple times a week
- Fluency in both Swedish and English
