Vestiaire Collective is looking for a Senior Software Engineer M/F/D to join the Buyer Experience collective located in Paris.

About the role 🖥️

  • The mission of the Buyer Experience team is to develop innovative solutions that deliver the most engaging experience to buyers on Vestiaire Collective’s platform. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work closely with our expert Engineering Manager, leading the backend design and implementation scope of the squad. Your primary responsibility will be to execute the roadmap alongside your team, focusing on the segmentation and personalization of content. Additionally, in this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the operational efficiency of content creators through the creation of automations and innovative solutions.
  • What you will do 👜

  • Develop and implement advanced segmentation and personalization features to tailor user experiences.
  • Develop tech designs and RFCs for presentation to our architecture and platform team.
  • Design and build microservices architectures to support large-scale, high-availability systems.
  • Create and optimize scalable, robust systems using design patterns and best practices.
  • Build and maintain APIs capable of handling tens of millions of requests per day.
  • Consume and publish events to ensure seamless data flow and system integration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance platform capabilities and user engagement.
  • Demo to and train internal stakeholders on the use of the features that you and the team deliver.
  • Who you are ⭐

  • Solid experience in languages such as Go, Java, or PHP. (at least 2 years of experience in Go)Strong understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns.
  • Proven experience in a production environment.
  • Expertise in designing and developing scalable, maintainable, and robust systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Passionate about learning new technologies and staying updated with industry trends. Big plus, if you are curious and eager to explore the Go programming language.
  • Strong focus on user experience and the impact of your work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a team-oriented mindset with the ability to defend your proposals while being open to constructive input.
  • A product oriented mindset where you are able to present and effectively communicate your work to others.
