Volta Medical is an innovative, data-inspired US and European-based startup aimed at creating and bringing to the market cutting-edge AI software products to revolutionize interventional cardiac electrophysiology.

Volta has created a data collection and enrichment ecosystem for curated EP lab data which is fed into a physician validated, machine learning methodology to support complex AF solutions. Our newest technology, Volta AF-Xplorer, is a data-driven AI decision support system that easily integrates into the standard physician workflow, providing a patient-tailored approach to complex AF and AT procedures.

Our dynamic, innovative team is made up of 100+ collaborators in the EU and USA from a wide variety of backgrounds including engineers, business professionals and physicians, working together to develop AI solutions that help electrophysiologists help patients.

Responsibilities

  • Coaches and manages the performance and competency development of the Regional Account Managers and Regional Clinical Manager
  • Identifies and evaluates market opportunities and sales potential to identify potential customers and establish new sales pathways
  • Develops and presents sales proposals to potential customers, initiates and conducts sales negotiations and coordinates the redaction of commercial contracts
  • Provides sales forecasts, develops and executes tactical sales plans and communicates product supply requirements to the Production and Operations teams
  • Develops andmaintains strong customer relationships with U.S.physicians and hospital staff
  • Recruits and hires talent to grow the regional team
  • Assists in the development of training plans for new hires and existing team
  • Develops and communicates a vision for the team and creates an environment of team engagement and motivation
  • Develops and/or identifies new work processes and improved utilization of resources to increase efficiency
  • Complies with and holds team accountable for complying with good clinical practices, good documentation practices and regulatory guidelines
  • Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in the field of science/engineering (biomedical preferred) or related field or equivalent experience in cardiac electrophysiology
  • 5+ years of related work experience in the medical device industry with at least 3 years in the cardiovascular space with a preferrence for electrophysiology sales experience
  • 3+ years of people management experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated leader with experience leading high-performing clincial and sales teams
  • Demonstrated, proven track record of continuous success in meeting and exceeding commercial and sales objectives
  • Proven track record in recruiting, retaining and developing key talent
  • Experience maintaining strong, mutually beneficial relationships with physicians and hospital staff
  • Significant knowledge of Medtech and EP industry developments
  • Finance and business acumen
  • Comprehensive personal computer skills (experience with Microsoft Office required)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong business communication skiils (verbal, written and interpersonal)
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner
  • Flexibility, adaptability and proactivity
