About the role:

Working with Tanguy, our Head of Data (& co-founder!), and Marie, our Junior Data Analyst, you will play a key role in the design, optimisation and maintenance of our data pipelines & infrastructures as a senior data engineer.

Your role is crucial to support growth and realize WeWard’s ambitions.

Responsibilities

Data infrastructure design and maintenance:

• Design, develop and maintain robust, scalable and secure data pipelines (ETL/ELT).

• Supervise the architecture of our Data Warehouse (Bigquery), guaranteeing reliability and performance.

• Integrate data from various sources (from the app, partner APIs, etc.).

Inter-team collaboration:

• Work closely with all teams to understand their needs and propose appropriate solutions.

• Guarantee data accessibility and quality.

Optimisation and performance:

• Identify and resolve performance issues in data pipelines.

• Implement monitoring and alert strategies to prevent data-related incidents.

• Monitor and optimise data infrastructure costs.

• Automate recurring workflows: Automate daily or weekly analyses, alerts and reports.

Security and compliance:

• Implement best practices in data security and protection.

• Ensure compliance with the RGPD.

You master:

• Languages and databases: Expertise in Python and PostgreSQL

• ETL/ELT and orchestration: Solid experience with tools such as Airflow, DBT and equivalent.

• Cloud: Knowledge of AWS and ideally GCP

• Data warehouse: Good knowledge of BigQuery.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Minimum 5 years, with significant experience in large-scale projects. You know how to support your team so that everyone can flourish in their core business by developing their skills, and to enable the best collaboration.

• 30-min call with Tanguy (Head of Data). Here you’ll go in detail about the role’s missions.

• A case study followed by a 1 hour debrief with the Data team, including time for mutual feedback.
