Job Challenges

As we aim to make our platform more robust in order to achieve our ambition of being a central player in travel booking for our global partners, our tech team is growing fast. Now it is composed of 35 people in 4 feature teams which are:

🌎 Curate: provide inspirational content and flexible channel catalog management. Composed of Backend Developers.

📅 Plan: in charge of the Front-office web platform in order to facilitate the trip planification inspiring users with smart suggestions. Compose of Back & Front End Developers.

🛩️ Connect: provide real time price & availabilities through a large range of suppliers. Concretely in Tech, management of all API providers (hotels, airplanes etc.) to ensure a successful Client experience. Composed of backend developers.

🧭 Operate: it is our Client Back-office (connection between Client and our Operation Team after purchase). They manage all finance aspects like invoices and vouchers. It is also our Customer Support.

They all collaborate with the DevOps team.

Missions

As a Backend Developer, you will be focused on quality and work with the Scrum methodology. The Team Leader gives you a lot of autonomy to be successful in the following missions:

  • Implement new features in 2 weeks sprints,
  • Participate actively to improve quality in your code (TDD, DDD, SOLID principles, peer-programming, code review etc.),
  • Collaborate closely with the Product team to specify and plan upcoming features,
  • Correct bugs because nobody is perfect!
  • Always be on track about new versions as we try to keep our stack up-to-date.

What we are looking for:

  • About 5 years minimum experience in a similar role,
  • You are motivated by clean code and testing,
  • You are proactive both in searching solutions and your interpersonal approach,
  • You are open to feedback and continuous improvement
  • You are organised and ease to communicate, share with your colleagues, even in full remote work,
  • Being fluent in English is mandatory as your colleagues are not necessarily French speakers,
  • DevOps awareness and curiosity.


Techs we use:

PHP 8.1, Symfony 7.3 ,API Platform 3.0, Services architecture, MySQL, RabbitMQ, Redis, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines using GitLab,

Tools we use:

Jira, Confluence, Figma, Gather, Agile Methodologies and Lean Management

Recruitment process

  • A Video-call with Erika, Tech Talent Acquisition Manager, to better understand your career plan and your fit for the role at Worldia.
  • An assessment to be done at home (max 1h30min),
  • A technical interview with 2 Backend Tech Leads to evaluate your hard skills and the way you operate (1H30),
  • An interview with Liz, Engineering Manager, and François, VP of Engineering, to assess your experience, values and your project career as a Backend Developer
