Head of people, guardian of the culture

As we scale, we’re hiring a Head of People to help us maintain exceptional talent density and scale our values and culture alongside the team.

About the role:

As our first People leader, you are accountable for acquisition, development and retention of exceptional talent.

More precisely, you will:

  • Manage our Operation Manager (in charge of payroll / insurance / events etc…) and be the person accountable of more complex admin matters.

  • Manage the talent team (two recruiters) and empower them, stepping in when needed to help optimize and improve processes.

  • Lead our evaluation and HR processes, from annual reviews to monthly 1-1.

  • Train managers and support them in their challenges.

What you won’t be doing:

  • Replacing Managers HR responsibilities. We believe that most topics should be discussed directly between managers and managees, but we count on you to coach Managers.

Profil recherché

We are looking for someone with 8+ years of experience building People’s operations, with experience in a fast-growing startups. More specifically:

  • You’ve managed a team before and know how to support and grow individuals.

  • You have experience with performance management processes.

  • You’ve been involved in recruitment, either as a hiring manager or as a recruiter.

  • Nice to have: an experience with French employment law or complex HR admin topics would be especially helpful since our team is split between Paris (15+ employees) and Montreal (20+ employees).
