AXA Climate and Altitude

AXA Climate has 5 business unit to support its clients and partners, based on expertise: Insurance, Training, Consulting, SaaS Products, and Regen. Globally, we are a team of +200 climate experts, headquartered in Paris, spread over 5 continents and driven by the same desire for impact. Our purpose is to help Planet Earth become a true stakeholder of all companies, in the same way that employees, customers and shareholders are!

Altitude is the brand of our SaaS business. Our purpose is Adaptation. We build solutions, for decision makers, to enable climate and environmental adaptation. Our products are tailor-made for each persona: Private Equity firms, Agricultural cooperative, etc. We are +20 people working on it: product managers, designers, developers, business developers, etc.

We are autonomous within AXA Climate, but we work closely with the consulting teams dedicated to Financial Services and Agri sectors. We strongly believe that success is collective and we play as one team.

Altitude for Finance

Altitude for Finance is our first product, launched un September 2022. It is a platform dedicated for Infrastructure and Private Equity funds, enabling risk screening in pre-acquisition Due-Diligence, and enabling portfolio monitoring for reporting (such as TCFD). It is an innovative one-stop-shop for sustainability and investment teams, screening climate and nature-related risks and opportunities within minutes, very easy to use, and fully automated.

In 2024, we signed +50 clients, totalizing +500bn€ of Asset Under Management. To keep developing and growing our positive impact on the investment industry, we are recruiting.

Your mission, as Sales/SDR intern

You will join the Sales Team, made of 4 Senior Account Executives. Your main goal will be to grow the number of Altitude’s users by finding and securing new clients.

You will be focusing on the prospection in the European and US markets.

As a Sales Development Representative Intern, you’ll play an essential role in supporting our sales cycle from lead generation to initial engagement with potential clients. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying Prospects: Research and reach out to potential clients, specifically targeting ESG Managers in Private Equity (through cold outreach, event participation, partnerships, and leveraging your network).

  • Generating Meetings: Secure introductory meetings to explore new business opportunities and introduce potential clients to Altitude’s value.

  • Understanding and Qualifying Client Needs: Engage with prospects to understand their specific ESG requirements, applying the MEDDIC or BANT qualification methods to assess fit and potential, while showcasing how Altitude can meet their needs. You’ll also share valuable insights with the Product team to help refine solutions.

  • Supporting Sales Process: Assist with early-stage negotiation and contribute to contract discussions as you grow in the role.

This internship will give you hands-on experience in sales and client engagement, with exposure to strategic partnerships and real-world ESG solutions for Private Equity.

Based on your skills and appetite, you could also contribute to others missions related to marketing initiatives, inbound lead, and communication. As we are still in an early phase of our development, your scope could evolve quickly based on your will.

While we have mainly European clients, we are targeting clients globally. To complement the team, we are looking for someone based in Paris (for proximity with the core team).


Profil recherché

  • Experience: Sales experience in B2B SaaS
    Experience in Fintech startup/scale-up is a plus.
    Experience in Climate or Sustainable finance is a plus.

  • Sales-oriented: You are a Sales person, you know how to identify new opportunities.

  • Customer-centric & Consultative selling: You are curious, and like to resolve problems and create partnerships with the people you’re working for.

  • Excellent English, additional languages are a plus.

  • Excellent listening and communication skills.

  • Organized and rigorous: you pay attention to details in the execution and the follow-up of missions.

  • Knowledge for Climate Change and ESG topics.

  • Fantastic team player, with whom it is cool to work alongside.


Déroulement des entretiens

  1. Initial call with Senior Account Executive.

  2. Quick use case to identify sales skills

  3. Interviews with team members (can be done within 2 weeks)
