In this context, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in CLS UK (London) and drive business growth in the UK and Northern Europe region. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the offshore wind industry and a passion for renewable energy and ocean data technologies.
The main responsibilities will be:
• Develop and implement sales strategies to expand our client base in the UK offshore wind market and maritime surveillance market,
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, focusing on ocean data collection services and maritime domain awareness,
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the offshore wind industry and law enforcement agencies,
• Collaborate with technical teams to understand and effectively communicate our service offerings
• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients,
• Negotiate contracts and close deals,
• Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote our services,
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and market developments,
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in our CRM system,
• Work closely with project teams to ensure smooth delivery of services to clients.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Oceanography, Meteorology, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
• 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in the offshore wind or marine technology sectors
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing business in a B2B and B2G environment
• Strong understanding of the UK offshore wind market and renewable energy sector
• Familiarity with ocean data collection technologies and methodologies
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to travel within the UK and Northern Europe region
Skills:
• Advanced degree in a relevant field
• Experience with Floating LiDAR, metocean, or environmental data collection technologies
• Knowledge of UK offshore wind regulations and leasing processes
• Existing network of contacts in the UK offshore wind industry
