Dataiku is looking for a Technical Product Manager (TPM) to support the evolution of its AI Governance solution. Our approach in AI Governance is to provide our users with a flexible platform to implement their own project's qualification processes and monitor their different AI initiatives. Within this platform, our users are able to oversee all their ML-related activities, track validation decisions and monitor models that are in production.

The TPM is responsible for the definition of user stories in alignment with market requirements, the prioritized product backlog and coordinating features delivery. 

The role requires a good balance of technical skills and business acumen in order to represent the Dataiku customers within engineering.

Dataiku is a young company with great momentum and at this early stage, the TPM will  work cross-functionally with Product Management, Data Science, Engineering, and Marketing. We’re looking for someone who can express passion for the new technologies and possibilities of Big Data and Advanced Analytics. 

In this role, you will report directly to the VP Engineering.

What you’ll do:

  • Be the undisputed expert on product capabilities for your product area
  • Collaborate closely with the product management team to build the backlog and prioritize the next features Own the product backlog
  • Defining and prioritizing the backlog with product stakeholders and engineering leaders
  • Define user stories and specifications
  • Create internal documentation about the new features: feature deck, internal videos, etc
  • Follow up on the development of the features
  • Participate in building the roadmap
  • Collaborate with the Product Marketing team to create content about new features
  • Who you are:

  • 5 years of work experience in software engineering teams either as an engineer or product/project owner
  • Strong interest in Machine Learning, MLOps and AI Governance
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Data Science or related technical field or equivalent
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Experience developing professional products and technologies
  • Bonus points:

  • MS in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or related technical field or equivalent
  • 2 years experience in project management with a focus on software products and technologies, potentially as a project manager in consultancy
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve strategic goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as product management, engineering, UI, sales, customer support, finance or marketing
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills
