As a true business partner in a recently licensed payment institution (since last October), you will play a pivotal role in defining and supervising our accounting activities working directly with the VP Finance.
Your end-goal : Increase Hero’s revenue to support our growth and expansion initiatives, while reducing our operational costs by optimizing expenses and improving the efficiency of financial processes! 🎯

As an Accounting Specialist, and under the supervision of the VP Finance, your missions will be to:
Lead the process of selecting and implementing essential accounting tools (including an accounting interpreter)
Define and develop our accounting schemes
Monitor the development of our core banking system with the product (credit ledger, etc.)
Manage our monthly accounting closings (financial reports prepared by a certified accountant)
Supervise our P&L, compare our Budget vs Reality
Prepare and deliver report statements for ACPR, ensuring regulatory compliance and transparency
Oversee taxation and regulatory reporting (either by outsourcing or directly, with a possibility of training)
Monitor the flows on our bank accounts, process supplier payments and ensure consistency between banking transactions and records in our core banking system
Your Profile? 🦸
A graduate with a master’s degree in Accounting /Finance and over 2 years of experience in a senior accounting role, including a proven background in financial management and reporting. A professional qualification in accounting (Chartered Accountant, ACCA, CIMA, etc.) and an experience in FinTech or financial services are highly valued
A problem solver: highly independent and capable of autonomously managing complex projects
An excellent communicator who effectively liaises with both internal and external stakeholders (including regulators)
An entrepreneurial mindset: you thrive on starting from scratch and thinking outside the box
Agile and flexible, you easily adapt to a fast-paced and high-growth environment.
Fluency in both English and French is mandatory
