Hero aims to create top-tier e-banking solutions tailored for European digital merchants. Now that we have obtained our Payment Institution License in France, we are seeking an expert in the Core Banking System (CBS) to join our team.

As a Product Manager of the CBS, you will be part of the Product team led by the Head of Product and work closely with the developers within your squad, as well as your stakeholders. You will be responsible for building a core banking system while providing the necessary data to facilitate audits for our regulatory stakeholders.

As a Product Manager CBS, your missions will be to:

• Define a strategic roadmap for the Core Banking System (CBS) grounded in a deep understanding of market trends, technical requirements, and the company’s strategic objectives.

• Co-create financial and accounting schemes in collaboration with stakeholders (auditors, lead accounting professionals, and developers) to facilitate the development of new integrations.

• Maintain and develop ledgers representing money within our system.

• Connect the accounting integrator as well as the tools for producing regulatory reports.

• Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of the Core Banking System by identifying potential enhancements and implementing solutions to maximize operational efficiency.

• Ensure that the Core Banking System complies with current regulations and establish controls to mitigate potential risks.

• Supervise projects related to the Core Banking System, coordinating diverse teams across disciplines to ensure alignment with deadlines and objectives.

• Build the tools to generate regulatory and accounting reports in adherence to established standards.

Your profile ?   🦸 

• A graduate with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, accounting, or finance. 

• With over 3 years of experience as a product manager CBS in the banking sector, (preferably within a Payment/Banking Scale-Up), you have very strong technical skills in payment and banking. Having prior experience in accounting is definitely a plus for the position!

• Endowed with strong analytical skills, you are able to collect (thanks to your own SQL queries) and analyze the right data, at the right time. 

• Possessing excellent interpersonal skills, you can motivate and engage cross-functional teams in the defined strategy.

• You have both strategic acumen and an action-oriented approach, and you’re not hesitant to dive into hands-on tasks when the situation calls for it.

• A problem solver: highly independent and capable of autonomously managing complex projects.

• An entrepreneurial mindset: you thrive on starting from scratch and thinking outside the box.

• Agile and flexible: you easily adapt to a fast-paced and high-growth environment.

• Fluency in English and French is mandatory.
