Since 1984, we build ideas into products, grow products into businesses and scale businesses that leverage and transform the Pro-Audio Industry.
What began as a small team has since become a global organization working to realize this vision. Each member of our team shares our passion for designing and manufacturing sound systems with the highest, most consistent and predictable performance levels.
The Application Project team provides operational support to our network of clients and end-users to guarantee their projects’ success at every stage through a premium customer experience. They provide sound system design support to venues, system engineers, audio consultants, and architects using our proprietary software: Soundvision. The Application Project team also provides on-site support to system and mixing engineers during festivals, tours, special events, musicals, and more.
The Application Engineer, Venue Acoustics is a new role at L-Acoustics that combines the traditional role of an L-Acoustics Application Engineer with a focus on in-room venue acoustics, including passive systems used to control sound.

Work with key customers and peer engineers on the Application team to support large projects where acoustical expertise is needed to collaborate in the design process
Be active in academic, civil or industry events focusing on acoustics including potential paper authoring (research or case studies)
Whitepaper authoring and education to rest of Application team to highlight venue best practice regarding sound transmission, reflection control, etc to facilitate partnering with existing acoustical consultants on projects
Design qualification and onsite measurement validation for realized projects
Mentoring of colleagues on best practices, workflow and process familiarization, and company culture

Experience modeling rooms for acoustical properties with software like EASE, Odeon, COMSOL, or similar
First hand experience with large format sound systems as a system designer, engineer, or mixer
Sound system design experience using predictive software like SoundVision, ArrayCalc, MAPP, etc.
Expertise in room acoustical criteria—specification, evaluation, and remediation methods for problematic spaces including passive products targeting specific needs (diffusion, absorption, etc)
Familiarity with all basic acoustical measurements and metrics for noise floor and reverberation such as NR/RC, RT60, C50, C80, D/R ratio, etc.
Experience with low frequency control solutions (bass traps, Helmholtz resonators, etc)
Knowledge of active acoustic solutions for modification of reverberation in spaces
