R&D’s mission is to create and design ground-breaking sound system technologies and products for both hardware and software.
Our R&D team also collaborates with Application Design and other departments to develop innovative and high-performance sound systems while ensuring reliability and durability under intensive and demanding use.

We are looking for an Acoustics Engineer to join our Acoustical Engineering team. 
You will be part of an expert team whose mission is to bring L-Acoustics to the next level of expertise of transducer design and optimization of loudpseaker performances.

As an Acoustics Engineer, you use your scientific knowledge, your technical experience and your expertise on transducers to invent, design, prototype and evaluate new products.

Functions :

•  Design and develop L-Acoustics transducer products
• Valid transducer prototypes and samples
• Compile test plans and test specifications
• Document and perform validation in accordance with design specifications, operational and safety standards
• Lead transducer development projects : support and link with Loudspeakers design, Mechanical, DSP & Electronics, Industrial & Quality teams.
• Plan development schedules and milestones
• Drive communication with suppliers.

Skills & Experience :

• Master’s degree in acoustical or electroacoustical engineering
• 10+ years of experience in speaker design
• Expert in design of professional transducer (SUB, LF, MF, HF…)
• High knowledge and experience wih materials, glues, treatments
• Knowledge of safety norms
• Fluent English
• Ability to think creatively to find alternate solutions or creative ways to solve problems
• Curious, eager to learn and quickly adapt to new requirements and technologies.
• Autonomous with strong sense of responsibility.
